Lady M Descends a Staircase

Image result for duchamp nude descending a staircase 2This month’s installment of Shotz! will be “Artsy Shotz,” whereby every play has been inspired by a piece of modern art. I will be portraying Kim, a highly trained actress wounded from a history of failed productions. Written by Jonathan Luskin, the piece will reunite me with my Boeing Boeing co-star Sean Garahan and frequent Shotz! and Awesome Theatre collaborator Jess Thomas.

Catch the action at The Flight Deck on May 24 at 7:30 pm.

{In Search of} the Funniest Play Ever

As a founding member of the re-booted Awesome Theatre company, I’ll be appearing throughout the search for the funniest play ever! First up: May 10 at PianoFight! I’ll be playing a reporter interviewing Rod Serling. Don’t miss your chance to see the inaugural “episode” of this recurring sketch comedy/play contest. Tickets on sale HERE.

From Dusk Till Shotz

I’m super excited to be producing and acting in the upcoming installment of Shotz on Monday, March 20, 2017 at PianoFight to benefit Awesome Theatre. Each 5-minute script must relate to the theme of “From Dusk Till Shotz,” have a character who experiences an epiphany, and uses the line, “Well, that used to be okay.” I’ll be performing in a script with Laura Peterson written by Colin Johnson and directed by Jess Thomas.

SHOTZ! is a theatrical pressure cooker that every month gives six groups two weeks to write, two weeks to rehearse, two hours to tech, and one chance to perform all-new short plays by the Bay Area’s finest. Unified by three common criteria, each collection of plays captures a variety of perspectives around each month’s theme.

Bicycling to Afghanistan

I will be playing Interrogator 2 in the staged reading of Karl Schackne’s amazing, funny, and very unusual Bicycling to Afghanistan. A world premiere, the play follows Nicole as she attempts to escape from the drudgery of life, dragging her friend Marcel along on the adventure of a lifetime. The reading will occur on Sunday, November 20 at 7 pm at the Shelton Theater at 533 Sutter St. in San Francisco. There will be a wine reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by a talk back after the reading.
